Tired of excuses and tired of the poor me approach!

April 18th, 2009

I guess I feel that I need to vent a bit! My site www.bodyofconfidence.net focuses on staying in shape. I am soon to release something incredible that will help you enjoy many successes in life and it is all generated while you sleep but that is for a different conversation. Back to my topic. Why in the world do the news stations talk about all the negative “things going on in the world”?. Why is it always a 30% chance of rain instead of a 70% chance of sunshine. Why do we only hear about lay offs and people shutting down companies. Why do people make excuses about not being able to work out or why they are NOT in shape. Why do people make excuses about having no energy? Why does our government make excuses and play the blame game and pretend that their party has all the answers. I would like to propose something! No more darn excuses! Get up and work out! Choose the right foods! Enjoy eating but avoid the cancer creating, fat storing junk. Then I would like to propose that the government stop making excuses and stop making decision based on what they feel will get them ahead. I would like to propose that the news networks start focusing just as much on the good news. Ok, oooowheee I am done now….sorry about the frustration but you would think we were falling off the face of the earth tomorrow.

Now lets talk about you. I would like to give you something. 1) a huge shout out that says… YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU WANT TO DO! You really can! 2) I would like to give you a new 15 minute INTENSE ab workout that (if you eat the right foods) I can guarantee that you will see abs in 90 days. Go to my site www.bodyofconfidence.net and sign up on our vip email list (we do not sale or give away this list) and I will send the program to you. 3) I would also like to help you make a little extra $ so I am offering 50% of the monthly membership fee each and everymonth of anyone that joins our program that you refer.

Well that about covers it for tonight!

Have a blessed day

Have you every wondered why people are not motivated?

February 6th, 2009

I have found that for the most part many people are lazy and not motivated. Being lazy or not motivated does not make you a bad person but, it will for sure allow you to miss an incredible amount of life. As you know I have a passion for interviewing skills and staying in shape. I also feel that both will get you through many difficulties in life (along with trusting in Christ).  Now,  you might be thinking “what does any of this have to do with the title ” have you ever wondered why people are NOT motivated.  Well, let me rant a little. I have been amazed to see how people do NOT take the extra step to set themselves apart in an interview. Most people are not motivated to succeed they are HOPING that they will be GIVEN a job. As the baby boomers retire the new generation (not all ,but most) feel that companies owe them a favor. It is rare to talk to someone that is in their 20’s that feels the opposite. In other words most feel the company owes them and others are figuring out ways they can do for the company. Many people are overweight yet we are all guilty of eating the lovely fast food. WHY? at that time we are not motivated to take care of our body.

Why is it that when someone knows they need a job they still do not go the extra mile on an interview? Because they are not motivated.

Why does someone eat fastfood when they know they should not? They are not motivated at that moment.

Why are there so many things that are bad for us and we know it, but we still do them? Much of the reasons (not all) are because we are NOT motivated.

I propose the following! GET MOTIVATED! Life is too short. What is it that you know you need to do or not do? DO IT! Are you waiting to make your marriage better? Why are you waiting? Are you not motivated? GET MOTIVATED?  Do you need a better Job? Start Interviewing! Do you know how to interview? Learn the best way to do so. Are you in shape? Why not? GET IN SHAPE!

I propose that you are an incredible person that deserves the best and so do the people you know. Get motivated! Look in the mirrow and decide that you are not going sit down and waste you life because you are potentially NOT motivated. GET MOTIVATED!

I would like to give you a way to start getting motivated. 3 Days a week work out for 15 minutes. Thats all. 15 Minutes. Do something like Pushups, Sit Ups and Pull Ups.  I HIGHLY recommend the perfect push up ($19.95 at Super Walmart) and the Perfect Pull Up (I think it has dropped to $60) I also recommend a stability ball (#19.95 for a good one at Super Walmart).  Each one of these comes with some exercises. Work in a 15 minute work out using these products (check with your doctor of course) 3-4 days a week. I can promise you that when you lookin the mirror you will feel better. When you go to work you will feel better and your friends or loved ones will think you look and are acting better.

Give it a shot. GET MOTIVATED!  One more thing… pick up a book and read it!

Next time I would like to talk about how people can keep there jobs in such a tough time.

Work out and Interview well!

January 21st, 2009

I find it interesting how well working out and interviewing go together. I enjoy coaching people on both. I find that many people do not know how to interview properly because they do not feel secure about themselves. Their are a few things they can do to change that. I have written a manual that explains the basics to a GOLDEN INTERVIEW @ goldeninterview.net. I have found that some extremely simple techniques are completely overlooked by this generation. First impressions are everything, simple things you say or do not say can cost you the opportunity.  My goal is to make sure everyone that will listen understands the do’s and don’ts to an interview. I would like to share a few interview tips along with a few work out tips and if you will follow them both you will see success in both.

When you go to your interview dress nicely. Dress in a professional outfit that makes you feel great about yourself. Try and work out the day before so you feel even better about yourself. Make sure your outfit falls into the professional category but, look sharp! Make sure you stand up and greet the interviewer with a smile and at the same time express energy and passion while looking them in the eyes. I do not care what job you are interviewing for you will have an immediate edge if you can communicate and do so with some sincere passion and energy. I am always shocked at how many people do not know how important a nice firm handshake is. So shake the hand firmly (guys don’t try to break their hand) and at the same time make sure that your hands are dry.

When you work out, exercise, run, bike, walk, swim, play soccer, racquetball or play with your kids you will find that the same rule of energy and passion apply. I know that working out can be fun and it can be a drag. I have created a website that offers everyone a workout plan that fits their goals and desires. bodyofconfidence.net allow everyone the opportunity to have a certified trainer . This sight truly makes it extremely easy for everyone to obtain their physical goals.  If you have an organized work out plan (bodyofconfidence.net provides) , and you are able to see the correct way to exercise (bodyofconfidence.net shows you exactly how to perform over 4500 different exercises), and you bring the passion and the willingness to work out for 30 minutes you will have a GREAT WORKOUT and GREAT RESULTS!

I have found that the key to working out is keeping it fun. Here are a few ways to work out/exercise and keep it fun.

1) play some of your most motivating music (an Ipod is great for this)

2) change up the order of your exercises each week

3) change up where you work out when possible (home, gym or different walking path (please pick safe areas to walk)

4) set goals with target dates and make it a competition with yourself or even better turn it into a competition with some folks at your office or family members.

Until next time, have a great workout and if you are interviewing for a job make sure you give them the golden interview!

Have a blessed day!

Getting in physical and mental shape!

December 31st, 2008

Getting in shape in Jan is like people showing up to Church once a year during Christmas. Intentions are great but very few people follow through with their goals. Most of the time following through with fitness goals is a struggle because people do not know how to work out properly. It is usually not the money because they have more than likely joined an expensive gym or have bought hundreds of dollars in home equipment. Keeping a job or interviewing well for a job falls into the same category for many. Many people do not know how to interview, how to work out properly, how to keep a job and how to avoid the pit of defining themselves based on what they do or do not have.

My Dad seemed to always be chasing his wants and desires and in the end he fell short because he was defining himself by what he had or did not have. My Dad commited suicide and part of the cause was defining himself based on the wrong things.  My Dad’s decision was based on defining himself in the wrong way.

FIRST get healthy, make goals, write the goals down, do your best and if you succeed fantastic but remember that  your success does not define you. What defines you is simply your purpose in life. Whatever your purpose is is what defines you as person.

Be a success but please do not define who you are by having or not having success. Define yourself by your purpose and effort in life.
